BTS made a triumphant return on April 12 with the release of their sixth mini album “Map of the Soul: Persona” and the music video for their title track “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey.
Many celebrities who are friends with or worked with BTS members showed their support for the boy group’s comeback.
Actor Choi Woo Sik posted a screenshot of BTS’s album on Apple Music and began with the hashtags, “BTS” and “Boy With Luv.” He wrote, “Good song. What you need is promotion, right Taehyung [BTS’s V]? But why are our hands getting sweaty.”
Park Seo Joon posted a screenshot showing that he had downloaded BTS’s latest album with the caption, “As expected of BTS. Really as expected. ‘Boy With Luv.’ But Taehyung, do you need my promotion? I feel really shy about this.”
Beginning his post with hashtags “BTS” and “Persona,” Park Hyung Sik wrote, “I’m really curious but why do you need our promotion? My hands are getting sweaty.”
With a screenshot of “Make It Right,” a song he participated in writing on BTS’s album, Ed Sheeran said, “This is the first K pop song I’ve had the honour of helping write. Check out the rest of the project too. Well done BTS.”
Actress Seo Min Jung appeared as a translator for BTS on Sirius XM’s “Morning Mashup” radio appearance. With group selfies with BTS in the studio, she wrote, “My nervous appearance was captured as is in the photos…My old-fashioned face haha. For BTS’s first appearance after the release of their album at Sirius XM, I got up at 3:30 am, prepared for Ye Jin to go to school, and arrived. Two days ago when the radio station said that BTS was coming and asked if I would stop by, they let me enter the studio…When the network asked if BTS knew who I was, I said that it’s been a while since I’ve appeared on TV and was a lot older than them so they definitely wouldn’t know me, but they said they were fans as soon as they arrived…the BTS members were full of generosity and said they saw me on TV when they were in middle school…I almost cried…BTS are world stars to the point where everyone prepares and gets excited to have them, but they remained until the end to greet me and say that I worked really hard, and I was moved by how confident, strong, innocent, and humble they were. I hope ‘Boy With Luv’ gets a lot of love from many people.” She concluded her message by tagging all seven members in the hashtags.
Big Hit Entertainment label mate Lee Hyun tweeted, “Is this not being pressed? Or did the server explode ha. Please accept my heart..Halsey’s voice, which I personally like, appeared so I like it more and am more surprised! Everyone worked hard. I’ll listen to it well (‘Home’ is nice…).”
Jimmy Fallon, the host of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” chose “Boy With Luv” as the “Jimmy Fallon Jam of the week” and shared a link to Spotify on his Instagram Stories. BTS appeared on his show in September 2018 to promote “IDOL.”
